  • A New/One Trip Shipping Container is a container assembled overseas, loaded, and then unloaded once it hits our stateside ports. It is then removed from the shipping fleet and sold. Typically these units have very minimal cosmetic damage.

A Used/Cargo-worthy has done many ocean voyages, having been loaded and unloaded multiple times. They can have dents, scrapes, and rust depending on the age and overall treatment of the container. Every Used/Cargo-worthy unit we offer has been inspected for leaks, door functionality, and integrity of the door seals.

  • We recommend a level, compacted, gravel pad about the size of the container you select. It can be slightly raised however, too much of a berm may cause our deck to drag as we are placing the container. The path going to the landing site must be an improved road able to support the weight of the container plus our delivery vehicle.

  • We recommend placing container on at least two green treated timbers (6×6×8) or sturdy railroad ties to allow ample airflow under the container unit and to prevent it from sinking into the ground.

  • No, concrete blocks will crack under the weight of the container.

  • At Mobile Warehouse we promise to always deliver leak free containers, no holes, no cuts, no water intrusion.

That said, water can still be introduced in other ways, such as wet or snow covered feet, or from storing equipment like a 4 wheeler or lawn mower. That moisture can become trapped inside the container once the doors are closed (the built in venting helps with this somewhat, but does not eliminate it entirely).

This phenomenon can be mitigated by placing a bucket of Damprid, a salt based product, that aids in removing that trapped moisture from the container. Additionally, lack of airflow under the container can also lead to water intrusion.

  • The moisture from the ground will often times become trapped underneath the container, the day to day heating and cooling that occurs will eventually lead that moisture up through the wooden floor (floor will appear wet), and given the temperatures difference will make your container humid. Often times this will cause water droplets to form from the ceiling, which then fall on your belongings. This is why we always recommend blocking your container.

  • We require 14’ overhead clearance to allow ample room for our delivery trucks.
